Purchasing decisions have been at the heart of our thoughts and actions for over 20 years.
The company was founded in 1997 as gps dataservice GmbH, initially focusing on providing data services as part of category management projects. The range of services was gradually expanded in the direction of controlled market tests in the food retail sector. Thanks to our specialisation and proven expertise, we became the market leaders in this segment.
In order to be able to offer the full range of shopper-focused solutions, we have specifically built up the shopper research and data science divisions since 2015. Due to our new content positioning, gps dataservice was rebranded Yagora in 2020.
Yagora is derived from the ancient Greek term “agora”, the market and assembly place. The “Y” from Yagora and the figurative mark consisting of three arrows symbolise the meeting of shoppers, retailers and manufacturers, thus representing purchasing decisions.
